New England and nationally. Under the direction of esteemed
dance educator Charlotte Klein, the

In
1952, Charlotte Klein began teaching dance to 15 youngsters
in the basement of her parents home. By the end of the first
year, she had over 60 students and the decision was made to
officially open the Charlotte Klein Dance Studio. Charlotte's
husband Ben would ultimately leave his chosen career to become
Charlotte's business partner at the studio. Now in her 50th
year of teaching, Charlotte shares her passion for dance to
over 700 students. Charlotte and Ben are most proud of the fact
that they have brought dance to generations of families.

|
Charlotte
Klein's guiding theme in her dance program is that there is
a place for every student in her studio, regardless of ability
level. Ms. Klein has always made it a point to focus
on students as individuals and to tailor dance programs to meet
their individual needs. "We place students in classes based
not only on skill, but on interest level as well. We prepare
them for success no matter what their ultimate goals may be,"
says Ms. Klein.
|
| |
|
It
is this personal attention
to each dancer that has been her trademark and has established
the Charlotte Klein Dance Centers as a place for quality dance
education in a caring, supportive environment.
|
| |
|
Throughout
the dance year opportunities are provided to expand one's dance
knowledge through Master Classes, dance conventions and Regional
and National Competitions. In addition, the Charlotte Klein
Dance Centers has a 2 week Ballet Intensive Program in June
and a 3-week program of dance, theater and voice in July and
August.. There is a year-ending recital program in June and
a Fall, Spring and Summer Dance Showcase, all of which provide
students with the chance to perform on stage.
|
| |
|
For
those students who wish to move towards a career in dance, the
advanced level IV classes provide intensive training with stimulation
from other students at the same level. Another dimension of
training that is available to selected advanced students is
participation in the Charlotte
Klein Dance Company.
